Trojan Horse Exit Strategies — A compendium inside the belly of contemporary art institutions by -ATI collective

h. 6.30 - 8.30 pm

There exists a liminal space between complicity and dissent, a dark and contracted place where strategy turns into gastric secretion. Trojan Horse Exit Strategies — A compendium inside the belly of contemporary art institutions is not a publication about contemporary art, but rather a tactical-relational manual for surviving within the apparatuses of cultural power.

Drawing on the Trojan myth—reinterpreted not as a heroic triumph but as a physical space of waiting and fermentation—the book invites us to imagine escape routes by thinking with the stomach. Through interviews and visceral contributions, the authors outline a form of dissent that is at once cramp, nausea, and silent sabotage, asking what the emotional cost is of inhabiting the belly of the horse and, above all, how one gets out alive when the system seems impenetrable.

The event, hosted in the spaces of 10 documents, will be an opportunity to collectively map the openings and escape routes of the present, together with the book’s authors—Natalia Agati, Matteo Locci, Merve Yücel, Başak Tuna (-ATI Collective)—in a dialogue in Italian, Spanish, and English with some of the accomplices and silent strategists who have been operating for decades within the cracks of institutions: Todo por la Praxis, Stalker, Cesare Pietroiusti, Peter Lang, Francesca Schinzani, and Panagiotis Samsarelos, Francesco Restuccia, Emanuele Caporrella ( -ATI Collective).
